History
Bud Palmer is the original recycler, he has been finding new purposes for items since he started Bud Palmer Auction back in 1956. If he can’t sale or repurpose an item, he sells it as scrape to limit the amount of waste going to the land fill. He even finds home for all types of real estate. Bud has been at his current location at 101 West 29th Street North since 1960.
We have been having a Friday Night auction, now at 5:00 pm, since right after he start his business. The Covid virus is the first time that he has not had a Friday Night auction in decades. Bad weather, good weather holidays does not keep him from having the Friday Night Auction. We also have one to two outside auctions a week and we have online auctions also. Online auctions will just be another service that we provide but we really like the live auctions.
We originally started a Monday Night Auction at 5:30 pm so that Jadyn, Brenyn, and Keatyn could practice their auctioning skills. We are continuing the Monday Night Auction because it is popular with our customers.
Bud Palmer Auction has auctioned off a little bit of everything, from The Wild West World, shipyard equipment in Houston, liquor stores, lumber yards, car repair shops, estates, Restaurants and everything in between. Bud and his well-seasoned crew have figured out how to maximize money by pricing items by the piece and selling items from small lots to big lots to attract both the small and large buyers.
Bud Palmer Auction sells more items per hour then any other auction around. The auctions are organized to be fast and efficient. We do not like to mess around during the auction. If someone wants something they better be prepared to bid because we don’t wait for anyone. You want it, you bid on it.
All of Bud’s grandkids are growing up around the business and Bud’s grandsons’ Jadyn, Brenyn and Keatyn are following in Bud’s footsteps. Bud is teaching them the finer points of the business as they are the future of Bud Palmer Auction.
